Jefferson adds to Oregon State's commit list

Oregon State added commitments from Jeromy Reichner and John McCartan on Saturday, and the Beavers added Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne running back Jermar Jefferson on Sunday.

All three prospects are fresh off their weekend official visits at OSU.

"The Oregon State trip was awesome," Jefferson told BeaversEdge.com. "I had a great time with the coaches and players and the other recruits. I enjoyed everything about the school. I think it's a school that fits me.

"The coaches were telling me how their program was and showed me everything they could. Their main pitch to me was how they took me in as family."

Jefferson relished his time spent with his future running backs coach.

"I spent most of my time with coach [Michael] Pitre the running back coach, and I liked how he told me the truth about this recruiting time process and how he was being real with me," said Jefferson.

Jefferson previously took official visits to San Jose State and Utah State. He also held offers from the likes of Colorado, Colorado State, Rutgers, Utah, and others.

"It was just a different atmosphere coming from California," Jefferson said of OSU. "The locker room impressed me the most; they have a great locker room."

Jefferson had an incredibly productive senior season, rushing for 1,861 yards and 34 touchdowns and also had three receiving touchdowns.
