The Beavers have announced that Vacaville (Calif.) offensive lineman and "trench monster" Jake Levengood has signed with OSU. He committed to Oregon State under the Cory Hall regime in Corvallis and stayed true to the Beavers when Jonathan Smith came in. Smith's first in-home recruiting trip was to see Levengood. At 6-foot-4, 250-pounds, Levengood has plenty of room to grow and has a high ceiling. Levengood also held scholarship offers from Arizona, Nevada, Washington State, and a few others.
Quotable (Levengood's commitment announcement): "I am extremely excited to announce that I have committed to Oregon State University and I would like to thank all of the other schools for giving me an opportunity. I would also like to say thank you to my family and coaches for helping me make one of the hardest decisions in my life this far. With that said.... GO BEAVS."
