Levengood's first offer was from Oregon State
Vacaville (Calif.) offensive tackle Jake Levengood's recruitment has taken off in a hurry. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder has received offers from Oregon State, Sacramento State, Nevada, Arizona, and Washington State, and all five of the offers came in the last 12 days.
Levengood had a very busy June by hitting the camp circuit. He camped at Cal, Sacramento State (which is where he received the OSU offer), Nevada, and San Jose State. The Oregon State coaches were also at the SJSU camp.
"It's been really fun," Levengood said. "Going to all of these camps has really been giving me exposure. I'm still taking it all in. It's pretty unreal. I've been hoping this throughout high school, and it's coming true."
The Beavers were the first school to offer Levengood.
"It was really special," he said. "It opened the door for all of this stuff to happen. It was awesome. I was kind of shellshocked. I didn't really believe (Dave Baldwin) when he said it. It was awesome."
