Matthew Cindric from Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline is an intriguing prospect as he is Power Five conference level recruit that is being recruited at three different positions - offensive tackle, offensive guard, and defensive end.
Cindric noted that it's about an even split of where teams wants him at. Some schools are saying that they'll decide where they want him once he would start practicing with them.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pounder doesn't have a preference right now of where he wants to play, but Cindric said that it can play a factor down the road in his recruitment.
"It's definitely something that can affect my decision down the road, but right now, I'm open to everything," Cindric told BeaversEdge.com.
Oregon State likes Cindric as a strongside defensive end in their 3-4 defense. He went into detail about his recent visit to OSU for the Beavers' annual spring game.
"I was really impressed," he said. "I haven't been to Oregon State since I was in second grade. It was cool to see that campus again. I love the college town feel. It's a nice town where you feel safe. It has a family atmosphere; everyone is all for the Beavers down there.
"As a school in general, they have a brand new business center, which was really impressive to me. That's probably what I want to study in. The whole campus was beautiful. It's definitely somewhere that I could see myself living.
"As for football, I could definitely see coach Andersen's vision and how they're looking to build that program. They're heading in a good direction. They're definitely getting good. Watching their spring game reaffirmed that they're on the up and up."
Cindric had a great time speaking with the Beaver coaches during the visit.
"I talked to the D-line coach, coach Chad (Kauha'aha'a) for a little bit," said Cindric. "Oregon State wants me as a strongside defensive end. I got talk to coach Cookus; he's the recruiting coordinator in the state of Washington. I sat down with coach Andersen and he talked to my family. That was really cool for him to sit down in us."
Cindric has now visited Washington, Washington State, and Oregon State. He wants to go out and visit more schools before he makes a college commitment.
He is visiting UCLA, USC, and Cal this spring.
