For those who followed Trajon Cotton's recruiting saga on Twitter, they know that Cotton doesn't mind being in the spotlight. He went back and forth between Oregon State and Colorado and chose the Beavers over the Buffs, who tried to push late for him.

The Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum athlete signed with Oregon State, making his commitment to the Beavers official. With his recruitment behind him, Cotton is finishing out his final high school semester and preparing for college football at the Pac-12 level.

"I've been working out every day after school," Cotton told BeaversEdge.com. "I run 800s and Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday is when I do my field work - footwork and agility stuff."

Cotton made the trip to Corvallis for Oregon State's spring game and had an enjoyable experience.

"It was good," Cotton said. "It's not like how people say when you [sign] then people forget about you and treat you differently. It felt like home like it did on my official.

"After the game, I went to coach Hall's office and talked with coach Rushing. We went over the defensive scheme and made sure I understood the defense.

"The defense during the spring game was good. Our pass defense was good but could've been better. Our run defense needs to get better. I think I understand the scheme well."

It's very well documented how Oregon State signed four prospects from the TMP Elite 7v7 team that Cotton was a part of alongside of Aidan Willard, Isaiah Hodgins, and Isaiah Dunn.

Cotton is planning to keep the "TMP to Corvallis" trend alive with a couple of top offensive recruits.

"I'm going to make sure we get Spencer Webb and Isaah Crocker for sure," Cotton said. "Those will be big additions for the offense, and whoever else they offer, I'll make sure we get them too."

Cotton will enroll at Oregon State this summer.

"I'm really excited. It's a bittersweet experience since I'm leaving my family, but I know it's for the right reasons," he said.
