Oregon State has landed a new commitment from Lake Oswego (Ore.) quarterback/athlete Jake Dukart. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound 2018 recruit is Oregon State's fifth commitment of the class.
Dukart was originally committed to Arizona State on a baseball scholarship but decided to pursue football instead. He landed an offer from Oregon State during a campus visit in May.
The Beavers have a quarterback commitment from Spencer Petras, but Dukart isn't actually committed to OSU as a quarterback. Sources have told BeaversEdge.com that Dukart is committing as a quarterback/athlete.
He could get packages as a quarterback and can play wide receiver as well.
"Oregon State is a great option," Dukart told BeaversEdge.com after landing the OSU offer. "Andersen is as good of a guy that you're going to see in college football. I think he's doing a really good job turning around that program. Their facilities are looking great."
Dukart will also play baseball for the Beavers.
