Offensive takeaways from the snap counts

- A storyline coming into Saturday's game was how much healthy Artavis Pierce would play with how good Jermar Jefferson has been in AP's absence. Well, Jefferson ran for over 100 yards and four touchdowns and saw double the snaps that Pierce had. It will be interesting to see if that continues to be the case. With Pierce back, Kase Rogers' usage decreased.

- Champ Flemings saw his most snaps in a single game in his young career. In previous games, he played mostly when the game was out of hand, but Flemings was a key part of the regular rotation in the offense with Isaiah Hodgins out.

- Teagan Quitoriano is being brought in to block. 24 of his 30 snaps were run plays. Also at the tight end spot -- Isaiah Smalls' usage is decreased with Noah Togiai healthy.

Defensive takeaways from the snap counts

- The Beavers continue to not be very deep in the secondary. Jaydon Grant played 23 snaps, which is up from six snaps against ASU, so it's good to see him more in the mix. DeShon Wilson saw his first action at cornerback and played 27 snaps when Kaleb Hayes had to come out.

- I was surprised to see Andrzej Hughes-Murray not get many snaps. He started but only saw 20 plays. If he was injured, I missed it.

- Miki Fifita's role in the defense has drastically decreased. He went from starting and playing 46 snaps against Ohio State to just seven snaps against the Cougars.
