Wednesday, November 8th began the early signing period, and things went exactly as planned for Wayne Tinkle and the Oregon State Beavers.

OSU signed their three big men that were already committed.

The first signee for the Beavers was fitting as San Mateo (Calif.) Junipero Serra center Jack Wilson was the first prospect to commit to OSU in October of 2016. In 2016, Wilson averaged 16.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots.

"Jack committed to us a little over a year ago and is very excited about attending Oregon State," Tinkle said. "He's a 7-footer and a big, strong body around the basket who attacks the glass on both ends. He can score down low, defend the rim and really likes to play physically, especially when he goes after rebounds.

"We are excited to get him into the fold next summer, as I know he's chomping at the bit to get here. I feel like his future is very bright and will be someone who can help us right away."

The next signee also came from a big man from the state of California. San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills power forward Warren Washington committed to the Beavers on October 4, just a couple of days following his official visit.

Washington chose Oregon State over the likes of Boise State, Butler, Cal, Rutgers, San Diego State, and Utah.

"Warren is 6-foot-11 and a player we feel can play multiple positions because of his skill level and athleticism," Tinkle said. "He's another guy who can handle the ball, shoot it, run and jump. He's a multi-dimensional player who will help us on the glass because of his rebounding strength.

"You can't coach size and Warren is a player who continues to grow and get stronger. We are really excited about these early signees and what they are going to bring to our program moving forward."

Last but certainly not least is the Beavers junior college center signee Kylor Kelley at Lane C.C.

Kelley was committed to Oregon State over the summer with the intentions of playing at OSU this fall, but he didn't have the amount of credits he needed to transfer. Kelley will come to OSU next year as a redshirt junior.

"Kylor is a legit 7-footer who can play a couple of different positions," Tinkle said. "He's a very good athlete at that size who can run and jump. He's a skilled player who can face up and play away from the basket. He's an incredible finisher with his length and athleticism at the rim.

"I feel like he's just starting to come into his own, and we are excited to get him here next summer. We feel like adding him with the guys we have coming back and coming in will really make our frontline a strength for us."

Washington and Wilson are ranked as three-star prospects according to Rivals.com. Kelley is currently unranked because he does not have any film since his high school playing career. Once he gets film from his JuCo season, Rivals.com will rank him.
