The Sydney Wiese era at Oregon State has come to its end as the Beavers fell to Florida State in the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon State started the game fast and built up a 21-4 lead with 2:36 left in the first quarter. But that lead slipped away as Florida State cut the Beavs' lead to 35-30 at halftime.

Florida State continued their hot streak and took their first lead of the game at 36-35 with 7:27 left in the third quarter. FSU's lead grew to 46-37, but the Beavers were able to tie the game back up at 46-46.

Oregon State didn't retain their lead and lost by the final score of 66-53. Florida State will move on to face off with South Carolina in the Elite 8.

Wiese is the Pac-12's best three point shooter in conference history and holds the record for most assists in Oregon State history. She struggled on Saturday as she shot just 3-of-14 from the floor, missed all ten of her three point attempts, and scored nine points.

Kolbie Orum came off the bench and led Oregon State in scoring and was the only Beaver to score double digits. She scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

Oregon State was abysmal in the turnover game, as they turned the ball over a whopping 23 times.

Wiese, Orum, and Gabriella Hanson suited up for their last time in a Beaver uniform. Young players like Mikayla Pivec, Katie McWilliams, and Kat Tudor will need to step up in their places next season, and of course, Marie Gulich will be a key contributor as senior.
