Sacramento (Calif.) Christian Brothers Academy tight end Spencer Webb made his way to Corvallis last weekend to participate in Oregon State's junior day event that included watching the Beavs' annual spring game.
A couple of new offers went out that day, and Webb was the recipient of one of them. Webb holds double digit offers, but OSU was the first Power Five conference school to offer him.
"I talked to coach Baldwin after a tight ends meeting, and he said he was really impressed with my frame. I was way bigger than he thought," Webb told BeaversEdge.com. "Then he told me he wanted to talk to me after the spring game.
"Coach Yray came up to me and asked that I find him once the game is over, because coach Anderson and coach Baldwin want to meet with me. My family and I met with coach Anderson. We had a great talk and he offered."

Webb loved his time in Corvallis.
"It was first class from start to finish," Webb said. "The weather came around for the scrimmage. It was really pro. I really like the head and tight end coaches. The facilities were new and cool. Great trip."
Webb is not jumping on any early commitments as his recruiting process is just starting to heat up. However, Webb can't ignore the TMP to Corvallis movement. Of course, Webb plays for the northern California based 7v7 team that OSU landed four 2017 signees from.
"It's a great relationship," Webb said. "I think it gives our players a great chance to play at that level. Plus, you're going to an awesome program."
Several other Pac-12 schools are showing interest in Webb, who is just a 16-year-old, which is young for his class.
