With May officially in the books, official visit season is set to get underway across the country including in Corvallis. This weekend, Oregon State will be hosting its first group of official visitors of the month.

Before we dive in, it is worth noting that four-star WR Rashid Williams was originally expected to make an official visit to Oregon State this upcoming weekend but with his recent commitment to Washington, that visit is no longer expected to happen.

The name that everyone will be watching this weekend is Downey (CA) quarterback Aidan Chiles who has recently blown up a bit on the recruiting trail. For quite a bit, the Beavers were in a terrific spot to land Chiles and were the leaders in his recruitment. Now, things have become a bit murkier for Jonathan Smith and his program as recent entries into his recruitment by Kansas State and Washington have changed the picture quite a bit. A late entry from UCLA would also be a potential game-changer in his recruitment.

It's safe to say this weekend is a highly important one for the Beavers in Chiles' recruitment and their chances to land him will ultimately likely be decided during his trip to Corvallis. The Beavers did all the right things early on in his recruitment in impressing Chiles and now they'll have to impress him again and show that they're the best fit for the 6-foot-4, 195-pound quarterback. He has set official visits to Kansas State and Washington as well.

Other schools that could be worth keeping an eye on in Chiles recruitment are Oregon and UCLA.

We recently spotlighted Chisom in an official visit profile. Overall, Oregon State is most definitely a player in Chisom's recruitment but has some stern competition for the Los Angeles native. The Beavers are likely at the very top of Chisom's recruitment right now and Cal currently appears to be their biggest threat. USC will be a program to watch going forward as well.

Pale recently took an official visit to UCLA and has official visits still set for Cal and Stanford, giving him one official visit left to use. It's hard to get a true grasp of where Pale's recruitment stands but I think there's a strong sense that he's likely to stay home in California. Oregon State has done a great job with him and being currently the only out-of-state program to be hosting Pale on an official visit is notable, however, will they be able to convince him to come to Corvallis for the next four to five years?

Oregon State sits in a terrific spot for the Fort Lauderdale (FL) native and will look to potentially put an end to his recruitment this weekend. I'm very close to putting in a FutureCast for Saez to land with the Beavers but want to see how the weekend goes first.

O'Neal is high on the Beavers and can see himself succeeding in Oregon State's defense. Right now, the school to watch the closest outside Oregon State would be Indiana in my opinion. But as long as O'Neal is a take for the Beavers, I think there's a pretty strong chance he ends up a Beaver.

The Beavers are certainly in the running for Tafai but a recent offer from Washington could have the California offensive lineman thinking hard about what the Huskies have to offer. He's made a trip to Seattle in recent weeks as well and the Huskies overall could be the team to beat.

Reedley Community College safety Jadon Pearson will be on campus this weekend for his official visit. Pearson graduates from Reedley soon, which will make him eligible for next season for whoever lands the 6-foot-3 safety in the upcoming weeks. He recently announced a top five of Florida State, Missouri, Oregon State, Utah, and Washington State.

OT Soane Faasolo (Menlo-Atherton) - Menlo Park, CA

The 6-foot-8 offensive tackle holds offers from BYU, Cal, San Jose State, and Washington as well as from Oregon State of course. He currently weighs in at 270-pounds, so there's still plenty of room to fill in his tall and length frame. Highly intriguing prospect here overall, it will be interesting to see where his recruitment goes from here.

Jensen committed to Oregon State last October and there are no signs that his commitment to the Beavers has wavered. That being said, it won't hurt to get the Washington native back on campus for an official visit to ensure everything there is solidified.
