As Oregon State looks to put the finishing touches on its close 2024 recruiting class, the Beavers on Monday afternoon added a commitment from Kohl's five-star kicker, Martin Connington.

Kohl's ranks Connington as the fifth-best kicker in the nation. He also had interest from Boise State, where he was previously committed to. The Boise, Idaho native can also punt, ranked as the nation's 14th best punter as well.

Connington has been a kicker that the Beavers have been pursuing for quite a bit, offering him in early August. A few days later, he would commit to Boise State but last Tuesday, he decided to back off that commitment. That decommittment would come just days after the 6-foot-0, 190-pound kicker took an unofficial visit to Corvallis for the Beavers win over UCLA.

SCOUTING REPORT VIA KOHL'S KICKING

"Connington recently competed at the 2022 Kohl's AZ Showcase Camp this past December. He scored 12 points on field goals, 114.05 points on kickoffs, and 101.3 points on punts. His kickoff score topped charts for the entire 2022 Kohl's Winter Showcase Tour. At the Kohl's ranking event in October of 2022 he won the kickoff competition with a monster 85-yard, 4.5 second hang-time kick and also won the punt competition for the 2024 class. He scored 12 points on field goals and averaged 50.8-yards with 4.32 seconds of hang time over 10 punts during the charting portion of camp. Connignton has the skillset to be a top Power 5 recruit and we are excited to see his future as a specialist. Connington has great control over his body and has proved he can compete with anyone in his class in all three phases!"
