Coming off their first major official visit weekend of the summer months, Oregon State has picked up a commitment from three-star Fort Lauderdale (FL) defensive end Zakaih Saez.
The 6-foot-4, 223-pound three-star prospect made his official visit to Oregon State over the weekend, his second visit to campus after visiting the Beavers back in March. Since that initial visit to Oregon State over two months ago, Jonathan Smith and his Oregon State program have been at the forefront of Saez's recruitment.

Despite programs such as Florida State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, and Wake Forest all offering Saez and being much closer than Corvallis, the Beavers remained the team to beat throughout his recruitment.
"This is an offer I wanted because I can see myself playing at Oregon State," Saez told BeaversEdge shortly after he initially received his offer from the Beavers. That vision for Saez remained true leading all the way up to Monday afternoon's commitment from the Florida native.
Saez is the Beavers' third commitment of their 2023 recruiting class, joining a pair of tight ends in Dorian Thomas and Cooper Jensen.
