Torrance (Calif.) El Camino C.C. wide receiver Trevon Clark has received eight scholarship offers, and they've come in a flurry.

His first offer came from Middle Tennessee State on April 24, and Clark has landed seven more offers since then.

"I expected a few offers. I didn't expect any real big offers yet," Clark said. "But I'm expecting it now because of how I have blown up."

Clark has received a couple of "big offers" in Oregon State and Iowa State.

"Those are the top two on my list right now because I have a great opportunity to play at both of those schools," Clark explained. "Oregon State is a little bit closer to home. If it comes down to [OSU and ISU], it's going to be a tough decision."

The Beavers were the most recent school to offer the 6-foot-4, 180-pound playmaker. Wide receivers coach Kefense Hynson has been recruiting Clark.

"The receivers coach actually came to my practice and he was watching me," Clark said. "I was talking to him for a little while before he came. He left the practice and told me straight up that they need me, like me a lot, and he just offered me.

"He's really cool. I like him."

Clark is looking to schedule an official visit to Oregon State for this weekend and is close to making that happen. He could set it up as soon as Monday.

He's also looking to take a couple of more official visits during the fall if he's able to fit them in.

Clark will be a junior with a redshirt year available at his next college. He is trying to finish up classes this summer so he can be an early enrollee signee in December.
