Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson wide receiver Daniel Arias has emerged as one of Oregon State's top recruiting targets in the class of 2018. The Oregon State coaching staff wanted Arias, who received an OSU offer last month, to see Corvallis firsthand.

Arias did that on Saturday for the Beavs' spring game.

"It was pretty nice," Arias told BeaversEdge.com. "I saw everything for myself. I've done a lot of research on them, and actually being there was mindblowing. I really liked it.

"What stood out was how much love the coaches showed me. Just one by one, they all knew my name, and I really love how everything is so close together. Everything is in walking distance. I really liked that."

The OSU staff made Arias a priority on Saturday, and he spoke with his potential position coach, coordinator, and head coach.

"They were saying that they'd really love if I played for their school," Arias said. "If I went there, they said it'd be really nice. I talked to coach Phillips, the head coach [Gary Andersen], and the offensive coordinator [Kevin McGiven]."

"[Phillips] was just getting to know me and we were talking about life. We were getting on the same page."

Did Arias consider making a commit while on campus?

"It's too early for me, but I do really like the school," he answered.

Arias plans to visit Washington State on April 1 and also hopes to visit Boise State and Eastern Washington in the near future.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound rising senior holds offers from Montana State, Nevada, Hawaii, and Oregon State.
