-The biggest news of the day is that the Beavers will be without receiver Seth Collins for the foreseeable future as an OSU spokesman informed me that he is out indefinitely with a health issue. I was told that if he missed the rest of the season that he would be eligible for a medical redshirt since he only played in three games this season.

-Mason Moran, who was recruited as a quarterback and moved to safety in the offseason, is officially back at the quarterback position according to offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven. Moran was taking backup snaps behind Darell Garretson on Saturday and was prepared to go into the game when Garretson was cramping up. During practice today, it appeared that Moran is the for sure backup to Garretson. McGiven didn’t officially say that he was the backup, but noted that Blount and Willard currently have redshirts that the team would like to keep. Based on this, I would assume that Moran is the No. 2 guy at this point.
-Speaking of Moran, he looked very good at practice today. He was the first quarterback to get reps as Garretson sat out and didn’t practice today. His ability to pull the ball on the read-option was quite impressive and also made a couple really nice timing throws to the outside.
