Beau Baldwin - Cal Offensive Coordinator
Who is he? The 45-year-old coach played at Central Washington in the early 90's and has spent his entire coaching career at either Central Washington or Eastern Washington up until taking the Cal offensive coordinator job for the current season. He's a two-time Big Sky Coach of the Year (2012, 2013) and has won five Big Sky championships. In 2010, he led EWU to a FCS National Championship victory. In 2013, the Baldwin led EWU squad upset Oregon State.
Why him? An excellent offensive mind that could get his first shot at a P5 head coaching job. He's young, knows the Pacific Northwest, and is a great offensive-minded coach. His salary at Cal is 570,00, and remember, Andersen was making 2.5 million, so the Beavers could offer Baldwin a number that would be hard to refuse. Baldwin would be a great hire for Oregon State.

v2.0 update -- Baldwin laughed off being asked about the Oregon State opening last Tuesday and said that he wouldn't talk about his name being mentioned as Andersen's replacement at OSU. There is no doubt that Baldwin's name is thrown around most for the job, and Scott Barnes will certainly pursue him. If there were betting odds on who would end up OSU's head coach, Baldwin would certainly be the favorite.
