With fall camp now officially in the books, the Beavers now turn their attention towards playing Colorado State. OSU held their final practice before this weekend’s game against CSU in Reser Stadium. Here are the most newsworthy practice nuggets from Brenden Slaughter.

Practice Nuggets

-After sitting out the media portion of practice yesterday, Ryan Nall was back with the first unit taking reps. I mentioned yesterday that Nall was most likely being saved as a precaution and today all but proved that. With so many RB’s on the roster, no need for Ryan to take unnecessary hits.

-Other than the players listed on the injury report earlier this week, everybody else was dressed and ready to go for the Beavers. It’s definitely a good sign to see that the Beavers don’t have any lingering or nagging injuries that could affect players come game day.

-Today the Beavers were giving nearly all of their running backs reps. Nall, Artavis Pierce Thomas Tyner, Trevorris Johnson, and Calvin Tyler were all taking reps with the 1st and 2nd team offenses leading me to believe that the Beavers will not shy away from giving their bevy of running backs reps. OSU is in a solid position having so many good running backs, and the question is, how will they distribute those reps on Saturday. Today the pecking order looked like this: Nall, Tyner, Pierce, Johnson, Tyler.

-In other noteworthy injury news, Seth Collins was dressed today but did not participate in practice. He is still sporting the splint on his right hand, but was in his jersey and shorts and was holding his helmet. He was standing near the coaches on the field watching practice during the time that media was allowed in. Seeing Collins dressed lends legitimacy to the fact that he will be back on the field soon.
