Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt defensive end Andy Koch committed to the Oregon State Beavers several weeks ago, and the 6-foot-6, 251-pounder is enjoying the committed life.

"It's honestly, truly a blessing, sir," Koch said. "To know that I'm going to college and will be playing the sport I love at a college that I love is honestly a blessing. I get to go out to [my high school] practice every day with that burden off my shoulders and help my team be successful."

Koch is talking with the Oregon State coaching staff on a consistent basis and has already set up an official visit.

"Pretty often. We recently were talking to each other about an official visit up there," said Koch. "It will be on September 9 when Minnesota is at Oregon State.

"They're going to fly me in early Saturday morning, and I'll be on campus around 9am. I'm going to be in the locker room, be in the meetings, and get the whole gameday experience. They're going to show me what it's like on gameday."

Koch decided recently that he would be graduating from his high school this December and enroll at Oregon State for the spring.
