The Creighton BlueJays double teamed Oregon State guard Sydney Wiese just about every time she touched the ball past half court in Sunday night's second round matchup in the NCAA Tournament.

Wiese was still able to score her fair share of points as she had 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting. Marie Gulich shot a team high 17 shots and scored 12 points. She also reeled in a team high 12 rebounds.

Freshman guard Mikayla Pivec had a very productive night, filling the stat sheet for the Beavs. She had nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists, but what was impressive about her performance was how she took charge of the offense when she was needed to. That is great to see as OSU will surely miss the graduating seniors, but Pivec is in place to guide the team this fall.

The Beavers took a 54-44 lead with 7:48 left in the fourth quarter, but Creighton went on a quick run to cut the lead to 54-48. From there, Oregon State took charge on their way to a 64-52 victory.

The Beavers are now through to the sweet 16, where they will face off against the No. 3 Florida State in Stockton, California.

If the seeds hold, Oregon State will face off South Carolina, who was nearly upset by Arizona State on Sunday.
