Gary Andersen

Last season was a rough way to start the Gary Andersen era, but he preached to his players and recruits to buy into the rebuilding process that he was starting at Oregon State. The 2016 season hit a low point after a 47-6 loss to Colorado, but the team started to improve after that game and beat Cal the following week. Oregon State players, fans, and recruits bought into the process as Andersen's team started showing signs of what the team could become as they fought hard against top Pac-12 teams like Utah and Washington State.

The Beavers ended the season with a 42-17 win over Arizona and a 34-24 Civil War win. Now there are actually big wins for the program to show that the rebuild has turned OSU as a threat in the Pac-12 next season. It's not about progress right now; the Beavers have a big win over Oregon to prove what they will be next season.

Andersen gives all the credit to his players and assistant coaches, but we give a ton of kudos to Andersen for leading the charge in the rebuild. This OSU team is a much more tough minded team than last year. Congrats to Gary Andersen on the Civil War win.

Marcus McMaryion

His passing statistics weren't fantastic as he was 13-of-20 for 101 yards and a touchdown, but McMaryion did not throw an interception and took what the defense gave him. He only threw the ball three times in the second half due to the rainy conditions and also, the running game was pretty darn effective, so OSU didn't need him to throw.

As Andersen noted in his postgame press conference, McMaryion was "masterful" managing the play clock, leading OSU to have twice as much time of possession as the Ducks had. McMaryion does not have one key attribute that will make him an upper echelon Pac-12 quarterback, but he is consistent, and after his performances in the last couple of games this season, I think OSU fans would be content if McMaryion beats out the other quarterbacks to start next season.

Ryan Nall

Once again, the redshirt sophomore running back was fantastic. For a guy who was listed as a tight end in the class of 2014 that did not have any other Power Five Conference offers, Nall has made a pretty good name for himself.

What I liked most about Nall's performance was the workhorse that he was. The last couple of games he's broke his season high carry mark, and he rushed 31 times compared to his previous season high 23 last week. He ran for 155 yards and obviously a career high of four touchdowns. He didn't break a 50+ yard run either to inflate his rushing stats. His longest run went for 14 yards, and I say that to prove how he was the workhorse of the OSU offense in the Civil War. He was an absolute beast.

Nall is going to have a ton of expectations surrounding him heading into his junior season, and there is no doubt in my mind that Nall will definitely meet and probably exceed them.

Manase Hungalu

The junior linebacker has really improved his play throughout the season. The Beavs have given up a lot of rushing yards throughout the year, but I've thought that Hungalu has really come along as the season progressed at his inside linebacker spot. Hungalu led the Beavers with five solo tackles in the Civil War. Hungalu is going to be a stud as a senior next season.

Andre Bodden

Some Beaver fans might not be familiar with the name, but I'm sure they're familiar with #86 running around making plays on special teams. Bodden recovered the perfect Adley Rutschman pooch onside kick that Oregon State was questionably flagged for an offsides penalty. Bodden also had a fumble recovery against Washington State and has been an unsung hero as a redshirt freshman for Oregon State. We wanted him to receive some credit for his hard work this season.

Stock Down

Oregon's Civil War win streak

Honestly, can we actually put any OSU players/position groups in the Stock Down category after they beat the Ducks for the first time since 2007? No, we can't. So we'll just make the Stock Down as a quick jab at Oregon.
