Colleges started dishing out official offers on August 1, which are just written offers that coaches send out to prospects. A lot of schools will offer a recruit in the spring but lose interest in the recruit and not send him an official offer.
So official offers show which prospects they are serious about.
The Oregon State Beavers are serious about Dallas Taylor-Cortez, who is a 6-foot-3, 173-pound three-star cornerback from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade H.S.
"It matters for sure," Taylor-Cortez said. "I really appreciate the official offers."
Taylor-Cortez had not heard from Oregon State since around the time they verbally offered him, which was back in May. That changed when Hall chatted with Taylor-Cortez on Twitter.
