Oregon State QB pledge Spencer Petras bumped to four-star status

After traversing the country to see the nation’s top prospects play in the fall, the Rivals.com analyst team made plenty of major changes to both the Rivals100 and the Rivals250. But there were also a number of players who made the jump to four-star status but just narrowly missed the cut for the Rivals250. Today, we spotlight those players and explain why they made a move up the rankings.

“Petras is a 6-foot-5 quarterback with a huge arm who has put up huge stats this season at Marin Catholic, and he's a winner as well, leading his team to an undefeated season so far. Jared Goff came from the same high school. Petras is not on that level yet, but he's a talented quarterback who has special abilities.
