Esty is the Beavers' second offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class joining Billings (MT) offensive tackle Jacob Anderson. Anderson committed to the Beavers back in late June after an official visit to Corvallis. Like Anderson, Esty projects to be an offensive tackle at the next level thanks to his 6-foot-5, 275-pound frame.

For Oregon State, Esty represents the Beavers 13 commitment of the summer and their third pickup out of the The Golden State alongside QB Aiden Chiles and WR Zachary Card. The Beavers are still looking to add to their offensive line in the 2023 recruiting class as well as they remain a finalist for Sonora (CA) offensive lineman Roger Alderman. Three-star linebacker target Isaiah Chisom is also expected to make a commitment announcement in the near future, per Rivals FutureCasts, the Beavers are currently the favorite to land Chisom.
