The Oregon State coaching staff has been busy as they are identifying their new targets for the 2018 class.
One prospect to keep an eye on is Hayward (Calif.) Stellar Prep cornerback Deshon Wilson. The three-star cornerback was offered by Oregon State recently.
"Coach Baldwin has been following me since my sophomore year," Wilson said. "He basically told me that when it was the right time, he'd offer me. He likes my long arms and physicality. He said that he liked that in me."
New Mexico, San Jose State, and Utah State have also offered Wilson, but it's safe to say that Oregon State is Wilson's favorite school at the moment.
"Oregon State has always been my dream school," Wilson stated. "My cousin went there [academic scholarship], and he told me that it's a great school for academics and football. I always wanted to go to Oregon State.
"Overall, everything about Oregon State. I'm going to visit this spring."
Wilson hopes to receive an offer from the in-state USC Trojans. They showed interest in him in December and have told him that they will be back at his high school this spring to evaluate him.
Along with checking out Oregon State, Wilson hopes to make a trip to see Utah State.
