1. Who will emerge as the No. 1 Quarterback?

Redshirt junior Marcus McMaryion will be the man to beat to start spring practice as he played well down the stretch in 2016, but that doesn't mean he's the favorite for the job.

Incoming junior college transfer Jake Luton has a lot of hype surrounding him as a gunslinging quarterback. Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen wants to improve the passing game, and he did that by bringing in Luton and new passing game coordinator Jason Phillips. Luton signed with OSU in December and enrolled early. He comes in as a redshirt junior.

Redshirt senior Darell Garretson will also be in the conversation. He had a roller coaster season last year as he had the game winning rushing touchdown in overtime against Cal but also was benched a couple of times because of an undisclosed injury and was replaced by freshman walk on Conor Blount.

The wildcard of the group is redshirt freshman Mason Moran, who is clearly the most gifted athlete of the group.

My guess is that Luton will emerge as the guy. Whether or not Andersen names him as the outright starter - I'm not sure. But I do think that Luton will start game one for OSU.
