Oregon State Football Signee: Matthew Tago

Quartz Hill (Calif.) outside linebacker Matthew Tago chose Oregon State on Saturday night over Nebraska and Utah, and it sent Beaver fans into a celebrating frenzy. Tago, a former UCLA commit, officially visited Oregon State in January and loved his time in Corvallis. Tago bolsters an outside linebacker group and could see the field as a true freshman. He is a terrific overall athlete, who had an incredible senior season as a quarterback, throwing for 3,173 yards and 38 touchdowns. Tago also added 16 rushing touchdowns.

Quotable: "It was great meeting all the coaches and got to meet some of the players too," Tago said after his official visit in January. "We got a tour of the campus and all the facilities. It was a great place, everything about it was nice -- a great atmosphere."
