Commitment Analysis: Jake Dukart
Lake Oswego (Ore.) quarterback Jake Dukart was committed to Arizona State on a baseball scholarship but decided to pursue a career in football instead. Dukart landed a football offer from Oregon State, but it took him a few days to announce the offer because he wanted to settle things with the ASU baseball coaches.
Dukart told BeaversEdge.com after receiving the OSU offer that he wanted to wait until August or September to make a commitment because he wanted to let his recruitment play out as he was just getting things started as a football recruit.
However, Dukart had a great bond with Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen, and he also hit things off with baseball coach Pat Casey. Dukart will play baseball for Casey's club.
