Details on Rogers' Oregon State commitment

READ: Rogers feels at home with Oregon State

Rogers picked the Beavers over Florida Atlantic and Utah, and his offer from the Utes was definitely legitimate as the sent him an "official offer" a few days ago.

The 6-foot, 186-pounder's recruitment has been pretty low key. He holds the two Power Five offers, but many schools are overlooking Rogers.

Rogers has a few teammates that are ranked four stars or higher, so most of the attention has gone on those guys. One of his teammates, TCU commit Ta'Zhawn Henry, led Lamar H.S. with 1,452 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.

With Henry being such a standout running back, the Lamar coaching staff showcased Rogers as a slot receiver, and Rogers shined.

Four-star recruit Alvonte Woodard was the No. 1 receiver for Lamar, but Rogers still had a productive season. He caught 24 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns.

However, Rogers will play running back at Oregon State. The Beavers' coaching staff think his talent translates to the backfield.

Rogers took three carries for 50 yards and one touchdown as a junior, but when Rogers camped for the OSU coaches, they saw that Rogers was a capable running back.

Rogers' stats don't wow you, but his talent is unquestioned. His lack of monster numbers are more due to having four star recruits surrounding him. This really helps Oregon State as they can start working to build a pipeline at the talented school.
