Woods suffers concussion

Corvallis - Oregon State University sophomore running back Storm Woods suffered a concussion in the Beavers' 51-48 overtime victory over the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City Saturday night, head coach Mike Riley announced Sunday.
The sophomore from Pflugerville, Texas was hurt while blocking a Beaver passing play midway through the fourth quarter. Woods was transported via ambulance from the Rice-Eccles Stadium playing surface to University Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was cleared to rejoin his teammates at Salt Lake International Airport for the team's charter flight. which was delayed approximately 30 minutes awaiting his arrival following the game, to Eugene, Ore.
Woods will go through the normal concussion protocol, according to Dr. Doug Aukerman, OSU's Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine. Woods is listed as out indefinitely heading into this week's practice in preparation for Saturday's game at San Diego State. He is expected to be replaced in the lineup for the immediate future by junior Terron Ward and senior Jovan Stevenson.
