Smalls will officially visit Oregon State
Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey tight end Isaiah Smalls had a productive spring that resulted in several new offers.
"New offers came in like Colorado State, Arizona State, and Oregon State," Smalls said. "As far as visits, I'm trying to get up Oregon State and Oregon this month or next month. I'm trying to figure out the time to take visits up there. Arizona State, I'll plan on driving there as well."
Smalls landed the offer from Oregon State on May 3, and ever since then, the Beaver staff has been in close contact with him.
"Oregon State has been recruiting me," he said. "With coach Hall, my recruiting area coach, we've been talking pretty much every day; he checks up on me regularly. He sees how I'm doing in school and stuff like that. Same with coach Baldwin, he came to see me a couple of weeks ago before school ended. We're building a strong relationship between me and that staff. It's going in the right direction."
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder feels that Oregon State is really targeting him hard, and it's not just the coaching staff he's talking to.
