RECRUITING: What does Spurlock bring to Oregon State? | Oregon State impresses Tufaga

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey tight end Isaiah Smalls visited Oregon State for the first time last weekend on his official visit.

Smalls enjoyed his future home of Corvallis, Ore., and he might have left a pound or two heavier. Smalls raved raved about the food he ate during the weekend.

"It was awesome hospitality," Smalls said. "I'd say that the best part about it was the food. We were constantly eating. It wasn't just regular food. It was just a lot of good food. It was a good experience overall."

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound three-star recruit also enjoyed chatting with the OSU coaching staff.

"Pretty much, I hung out with the offensive coaches, but I talked to every coach," Smalls explained. "I talked to coach McGiven, coach Baldwin, and coach Wozniak. I even got to talk to the head man Gary Andersen for a little bit. It was just a real eye opening trip. It ensured that I made the right decision where I want to play college football at."

"It was a great talk," Smalls said of his conversation with Andersen. "He talked to me about the role I'll play in the offense next year. I'm coming in and working to have a starting position next year. That's what I'm going to do."
