Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle landed his second commitment of the 2017 class as Wilsonville (Ore.) small forward Zach Reichle joins Ethan Thompson.

Reichle broke down his decision with BeaversEdge.com.

"It's what I felt was right in my heart," Reichle said. "I wanted to stay in Oregon and be close to home. It's where I felt was right."

Tinkle's coaching staff also had a big role in Reichle's decision to become a Beaver.

"They made me feel comfortable," said Reichle. "Coach Tinkle treats his players like sons. He cares about his players a lot. I felt very comfortable with what they've told me and how I'd fit in - not only as a player but as a person."

Reichle is as classy as they come, and he had nothing but good things to say about the staff at UC Irvine, which was his other finalist.

"The guys down at UC Irvine are amazing down there," Reichle said. "They treat you their guys just like sons too."

The 6-foot-5, 180-pound three-star recruit is a very team oriented young man, and he wants to do whatever it takes to help the Beavers win games.

"Obviously, it's going to be very cool to having kind of a hometown kid on the team," he said. "I'm coming to Oregon State to win. I want to help them succeed. I want to be a part of that success at Oregon State. That's our main goal. I'm a team guy and I want [the fans] to see us win."

Reichle took official visits Oregon State (Oct 8), UC Irvine, Harvard, and Princeton.

"It was good," he said about his OSU visit. "It was a pretty easy trip; we just drove down about an hour and a half from home. I got to spend time with the guys, go through a lot of stuff with the coaches, and meet a lot of people. It was a good visit; it was a good time."
