THE COMMITS
Rundown: Smalls committed to the Beavers in August over other Oregon, Fresno State, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, and Purdue. He made that decision without ever visiting Corvallis, so it's a smart move by the Beavers' coaching staff to get him on campus. Smalls isn't exactly an unknown commodity as several Pac-12 schools have offered him, but because he plays for a high school team that struggles throwing the ball, Smalls doesn't get to showcase his talent to its fullest potential. I think his recruitment could heat up down the stretch with tight end targets coming off the board for big time schools and they could come after Smalls, but for now, Smalls is solidly committed to the Beavers.
