Kahuku (Hawaii) athlete Kesi Ah-Hoy announced on National Signing Day that he will be playing for the Oregon State Beavers for the next four years.
The three-star recruit and Polynesian Bowl All-Star informed BeaversEdge.com that he already made up his mind to become a Beaver well before NSD.
He committed to the Oregon State during an in-home visit with the coaching staff.
"They were very happy," Ah-Hoy said. "We had a thirty minute meeting, and I told them that I wanted to commit."
Ah-Hoy, who will play either inside or outside linebacker at Oregon State, chose the Beavs over other offers from Hawaii, BYU, and Army.
"My sister and my cousin played athletics there as well," said Ah-Hoy. "I'm familiar with the place, and they're building a lot of new facilities. I like their programs to help you with football to set you up for life. Their academic expectations is really good."
Ah-How also noted that the Polynesian culture at Oregon State helped him choose the Beavers.
"It was big time. Those guys are very welcoming," he said. "They're really a good group of guys."
