Oregon State DB Wynston Russell no longer with program

Oregon State defensive back Wynston Russell is no longer with the program according to the latest roster released by Oregon State on Monday.

Russell was a three-star propsect in the 2019 recruiting cycle out of Homewood, Illinois outside of chicago. He committed to the Beavers over offers from notable offers from Iowa State, Syracuse, UCLA, and Wisconsin.

During his four seasons with the Beavers, Russell played in 11 games including a career high five games this past fall. In those 11 careeer games, Russell collected four takcles includng one tackle for loss. He also had one pass deflection.

Russell is the fifth member of the secondary from Oregon State's 2023 roster to depart the program this offseason. The Beavers saw there players exhaust their eligiblity in Ryan Cooper and Kitan Oladapo while Akili Arnold and Jermod McCoy both transferred away from the program to USC and Tennessee respectively.
