Junior wide receiver Trevon Bradford
A very pleasant surprise on the day was junior wide receiver Trevon Bradford. I've admitted that I've been critical of the Oregon City native, and I thought that Kolby Taylor should've gotten the start over him as the Beavs' slot receiver. I'll admit I was totally wrong. Bradford proved to be a dynamic playmaker against Ohio State. His catch and run for a TD early in the game showed his incredible speed, and his second TD catch late in the second quarter was a thing of beauty -- catching the ball near the sideline with a defender in close coverage. Bradford didn't get much action in the second half, which is fine. We saw what he could do. No reason to get him hurt in a game where the Beavs had no chance of winning. I'm excited to see what he can do the rest of the way this season.
