Oregon State beats Stanford

STANFORD, Calif.(AP) Calvin Haynes scored a career high 25 points to help Oregon State win its second consecutive conference road game for the first time in six years, a 72-60 victory over Stanford on Saturday night.
Seth Tarver added a season-high 19 points and Roeland Schaftenaar had 18 as the Beavers (8-10, 3-5 Pac-10) matched their total conference wins of the last two years combined.

Anthony Goods scored 15 points to lead the Cardinal (13-4, 3-4), who had a six-game winning streak against the Beavers snapped. Landry Fields had 12 points and 11 rebounds for his second career double-double.
The Beavers, who beat California 69-65 on Thursday night, last swept a trip to the Bay Area in 1993, and hadn't won two straight Pac-10 road games since 2003.
Haynes also established career highs in both field goals (10) and attempts (15) as he scored 20 or more points in consecutive games for the first time.
The Cardinal played their second straight game without senior point guard Mitch Johnson, who is out with a lower right calf strain. Beavers' sophomore guard Lathen Wallace was unable to go after suffering a contusion of his lower tail bone in Oregon State's 69-65 victory over Cal two days earlier.
Oregon State coach Craig Robinson received a nice ovation when he was introduced before the game, likely as much for beating Cal as for being President Obama's brother-in-law.
The Beavers, who shot 62 percent from the floor, including 68 percent in the second half, never trailed in the contest after taking a 16-2 edge six minutes in. Stanford never got closer than six the rest of the way.
Oregon State led at halftime, 34-28.
