For the second straight day, the Oregon State football team took to the friendly confines of Reser Stadium in what was an atypical August day with temperatures in the low 70’s, a lot of cloud cover, and a solid breeze. - The defense had a really strong day today, perhaps one of their better days in fall camp. Whether it was the defensive line holding Jermar Jefferson, Calvin Tyler Jr., and BJ Baylor to 2-3 yard runs, the secondary locking down receivers, or the linebackers coming up to provide some pop, the defense came ready to go today. While they weren’t perfect by any means, it was a nice change of pace to see the defense disrupt the offense and get into the backfield.
- Another area that was particularly impressive on the defensive side today was the vocal intensity. There were a couple of times where the defense came up with big plays and stops, and the players definitely made sure everyone in the stadium knew they had made a big play.
