Morris picks up first offer

David Morris, a 6-foot-3, 205 pound junior from Sherwood (Ore.) Sherwood picked up his first college offer on Saturday, and it is a big one.
Oregon State pulled the trigger on the linebacker/running back while he made an unofficial visit to campus for the UCLA game.

Friday night, Beavers head coach Gary Andersen and offensive line coach TJ Woods were spotted at Sherwood's first round play-off game against North Salem. Morris had another big game for the #2 Bowman, racking up four touchdowns in the game, as Sherwood advanced to the next round after a 59-20 win.
BeaverBlitz.com caught up with Morris on Saturday morning prior to his trip to Corvallis to get caught up on his recruitment.
"So far I've visited Washington and Portland State," he said. "I have received some letters and things from a few schools, but nothing fancy."
Has Morris grown up with any favorites?
"Man, that is funny actually," he laughed. "Ever since I really began thinking that I could possibly go to college and play football, I've wanted to go to Oregon State."
His unofficial visit to Washington also opened up his eyes as well.
"No matter what happens, I really would like to try to stay local," he continued. "My brother went to Idaho State and that was too far for my family to watch him play every week."
