Mitchell talks about OSU visit

One of the four linemen commits that offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh has already secured was on campus to see the Beavers get their first victory of the year last weekend. Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si two-way linemen Josh Mitchell took his official visit to Corvallis and saw his future team put on quite the performance in pulling out the win.
"I had a great trip," Mitchell told BeaverBlitz.com "From the coaches and players to the game day environment and the win, I had a great time."

Mitchell made the trek down from the Seattle area with his father and little brother. Upon arriving in Corvallis, he met with Coach Cavanaugh and his host, freshman offensive linemen Justin Addie.
Josh said that Justin did a great job of introducing him to the rest of the freshmen class, the starting offensive line, and the fellow recruits on campus, while also showing him the ins and outs around campus.
There has been some speculation as to what side of the ball he is being projected to play in a Beaver uniform. For his Mount Si team, Josh plays both ways, lining up at all of the defensive line positions while also playing left tackle, center and even some tight end on offense.
"I'm an offensive lineman, that's what I've been recruited as," he said. "I'll play wherever but I'm most comfortable playing on the offensive line."
When asked whether he was solid in his commitment, Mitchell replied emphatically.
"Yes. When I committed to Oregon State, I actually called all of the other program's coaches that were recruiting me and told them that I had committed to OSU, and that I was not interested in any other schools."
