Lucas embraces playing multiple positions
Players who can play multiple positions are becoming more and more commonplace in college football. Running backs who can play wide receiver or take a direct snap as a wildcat, may not be the norm, but the versatility is something that is showing up on more and more teams each year.
Oregon State has a couple of 'utility' players, one looking for a breakout year is sophomore Paul Lucas.
"I feel a lot more ready than last year," Lucas said. "I just want to get back to playing football. Coming in they just had me playing receiver for my freshman year, but I played running back in high school so I feel comfortable there."
"It's natural so it is easy to go back there anytime," he continued. "This off-season they told me that I'd be playing running back and lining up as a receiver, so a lot of different things."
