Lindgren, Smith talk Gebbia; Updates on Oregon State's QB situation
Lindgren, Smith excited about Gebbia
On Monday, Oregon State announced the news that Nebraska quarterback Tristan Gebbia transferred to the Beavers. He was at practice on Sunday and was there again on Tuesday, but he hasn't actually started practicing yet.
The Beavs landed a pair of Nebraska transfers, as OSU announced Avery Roberts transferred to OSU last week. Both were big time, four-star recruits in the class of 2017.
"We're excited about those additions," head coach Jonathan Smith said on Monday. "I actually go back a ways with Tristan, recruiting him when I was at the University of Washington. I really believe they'll help us in the future."
On Tuesday, BeaversEdge.com's Brenden Slaughter asked offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren about his thoughts of the Gebbia transfer.
"We're excited. Shoot, he showed up pretty quick," Lindgren said. "He's been working with us a little bit. He can't play this year, but yeah I've been thrilled. He's a great kid and I've heard a lot of good, positive things from numerous people about him. I'm just excited to get to work with him in the future."
