JuCo DT Tapusoa considering Oregon State, Arizona official visits

Thatcher (Ariz.) Eastern Arizona defensive tackle Myles Tapusoa committed to Houston in June and is happy in his pledge to the Cougars. He's officially visited Houston and enjoyed his time there.

"Everything is good with them," Tapusoa said. "I have a pretty strong relationship with Coach Applewhite and Coach Blum. They really take care of me and show me a lot of love and to my family. I feel at home with them."

Even with the love that Tapusoa has for Houston, he's intrigued with a couple of Pac-12 schools. Arizona offered Tapusoa in September and have stayed on him, and Oregon State extended an offer to him on Tuesday. Tapusoa is considering official visits to both schools.

"I know Oregon State, right when they offered me, told me they wanted me to come down [for a visit]. They haven't decided on a date yet, but they wanted me to come down soon," Tapusoa said. "Also, Arizona wanted me to come down on December 7-9. The want me to take that visit."

Tapusoa added that he's feeling the love from both Pac-12 schools, hearing from their defensive line coaches who are both of Polynesian descent.

"From Arizona, you have coach Iona. He reaches out to me every day," said Tapusoa. "I'm No. 1 on their list. He's doing all he can to get me change my mind. It's the same thing for Coach Legi at Oregon State. I don't know him too much, but I can tell that the love is there from them as well."

It seems that Oregon State and Coach Legi have quickly made a strong impression for the 6-foot-3, 320-pound junior college defensive lineman.

"I just started talk to him about two days ago," Tapusoa said. "I guess he saw my film on Twitter."

With regards to his Houston pledge, Tapusoa said that he still feels pretty strong about it, but wants to pray about considering official visits.
