An interviewer's dream is getting someone on the record that lays out everything from A-to-Z, and that's what Michael Hall, father of 2018 four-star athlete Nikko Hall, did for BeaversEdge.com on Sunday evening.

We spoke to Hall about the official visit the Hall family had in Corvallis over the weekend, and the elder Hall spared no details.

"We landed in Portland [on Friday] and drove to Corvallis," Michael Hall said. "It was a very nice drive; they picked us up and had food for us. We got to see the beautiful land in Oregon. From there, we checked in our hotel rooms and then started touring the school. It's a beautiful school with a beautiful setting. They've got amazing facilities. What I liked best about is was everything was right there - stadium is right there, basketball stadium is across the street, dorms across the street. It's just a real nice college community.

"We met the coaches -- great coaches -- coach [Jonathan] Smith, coach [Mike] Riley, and they're still working on the receivers coach, but coach Riley was at a couple of Nikko's games last year and was recruiting him at Nebraska. It was good to speak with him. We talked with the counselors that overlook the kids, and they were amazing. The eligibility counselor was amazing as well.

"After that, we went back to the hotel room and grabbed something to eat in the stadium. We had prime rib -- just the best. Everything was amazing. We were sitting with the head coach [Smith], and he and Nikko were able to talk. He was letting [Nikko] know that he sees him as a major playmaker and that's what he wants up here. They're making some changes and going to be doing some things differently. He explained how he walked on and then he was a quarterback for Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh and they were playmakers. That's what he wants to see Nikko being. It was really, really nice.
