Oregon State Men's Basketball hosted a pair of official visitors last weekend in JuCo big man Kylor Kelley and Seattle (Wash.) Prep center Nic Lynch.

As the recruiting process as played out for the 6-foot-10, 255-pound Lynch, he's received offers but is now down to a couple of schools as the November signing period approaches.

Lynch was recently offered by Lehigh, and he will officially visit there next weekend. The other school Lynch is considering is Oregon State, who has yet to offer him.

"They got on me fairly early in the process and have always stayed in pretty consistent contact with me," Lynch said about OSU. "In the 2018 class, they need a few bigs and they already have a [couple] committed in the class, and are still figuring some things out. As of now, they haven’t offered me yet, but they seem very interested and I really like them as a program as well."

Lynch detailed his time in Corvallis for his official visit, and he really enjoyed the trip.

"First off, I had an awesome experience overall this weekend for both me and my family. It exceeded expectations. I got there about 1:30 on Friday, so I met up with the coaches, went and ate lunch with the guys at training table, then got a campus tour later in the afternoon, and then met with the academic advisors for the team.

"That night, we went to dinner with all of the coaches and a few of the guys. The next morning, I watched the team practice for about 90 minutes before the open scrimmage that they had, and then I went with the guys to the football game. We went to dinner again that night, and that was pretty much everything."

Lynch is basically in a wait-and-see mode as he continues on in the final stages of the recruiting process.

"I’d really like to sign during the early period in November just to get everything off my chest before my last high school season," Lynch explained. "I talked with the coaches again [Sunday] morning before I left Oregon State, and they said they’ll get back to me with everything within the next two weeks or so. I don’t plan on deciding anytime before I hear from both schools and have heard everything I need to."

Both Lehigh and Oregon State are recruiting Lynch as a center that can also play power forward in a big lineup. Lynch has the ability to step out and knock down long range jump shots.
