HOOPS: Beavers land 2019 shooting guard Julien Franklin

Villa Park (Calif.) shooting guard Julien Franklin arrived in Corvallis on Friday for his official visit, taking in the Beavers' double-digit Civil War victory.

The 6-foot-6, 180-pound 2019 recruit announced his commitment to the Beavers on Saturday afternoon.

"I am truly blessed to say I have committed to play division one basketball for coach Tinkle and the Oregon State Beavers," Franklin said as a part of his announcement.

Franklin is a lengthy, athletic shooting guard and a natural scorer, who also held offers from the likes of New Mexico, Rice, UTEP, and others.

Assuming everyone comes back, the 2018-2019 scholarship players for OSU looks like this: Stephen Thomson Jr, Tres Tinkle, Ethan Thompson, Kendal Manuel, Zach Reichle, Drew Eubanks, Gligorije Rakocevic, Ben Kone, Warren Washington, Kylor Kelley, and Jack Wilson.

Franklin will likely sign with Oregon State this November and then enroll at OSU for the 2019-2020 season.

The Beavers have more room to bring another recruit or two for the 2019 class, largely depending on attrition.
