Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic 2020 defensive back Ayden Hector made the trip down to the state of Oregon to check out both the Beavers' and the Ducks' home games.

Hector went to Oregon State for the first half of its game against Arizona, and then went south to watch Oregon battle Stanford.

"I met with the coaches before the game and chopped it up with Coach Burns, defensive coordinator Tim Tibesar and their running backs coach (Michael Pitre)," Hector said about his OSU visit. "They are great coaches. I met them once before. They're great."

This wasn't Hector's first time at Oregon State as he'd previously taken an unofficial visit to OSU before.

"It's a great campus, great city," he said. "I like the environment, their atmosphere. Everything is great there."

Oregon and Autzen Stadium had an electric atmosphere with College Game Day in the house for such a big Pac-12 North battle between the Ducks and Cardinal. Hector admits that the atmosphere was more intense.

"It was great. The stadium was packed," said Hector. "It was a great time."

Hector, who hopes to make visits to Washington and USC this fall, is currently listed as a safety on his Rivals.com profile but is being more looked at as a cornerback. He can play any spot in the secondary though.

"I think I bring a lot of versatility," Hector said. "I'm one of the better cover guys in the country, if not the best cover guy in the country. You can place me anywhere on the field. I can play safety but I think I'm better at corner. You can really place me wherever. That's what coaches have seen when they see me play."
