He Said. She Said. FCS Domination
Pretty hard to argue with 11 drives ending in 11 touchdowns. Yes, Nicholls State was not a good team, but after the Civil War, this is just what the team needed to bounce back, gain some confidence and have some fun as they gear up for the bowl game and preparation.

Both Sean Mannion and Cody Vaz put up good numbers on the day. In my opinion, Vaz still throws a more catchable ball right now, in that his passes seemed to hit the receivers in stride instead of having to stop or reach to make the play.
That is little and nit-picking though as we've seen both are very capable at running the Beaver offense.
The question heading into the next few weeks is who will be the starter in the upcoming bowl game.
SHE SAYS-GRADE: A
Most impressive thing on the day was the long, sustained drives by the offense. The first half had five touchdown drives of 72, 91, 87, 62 and 83 yards respectively. The second half saw another 90 yard drive, two more in excess of 65 yards, and a few shorter ones thrown in for good measure.
As Angie said above, you can't complain when you go 11 for 11 on touchdown drives.
Oregon State offense: good. Nicholls State defense: bad.
HE SAYS-GRADE: A
Twenty-seven Beaver defenders registered stats against the Colonels. Most significant is that the reserves played pretty solid football and didn't appear to make many mistakes. That bodes well for the future.
Coach Banker's unit only allowed 49 rushing yards by Nicholls State and only three points. In fact, that is really only blemish on the day in that the Beavers didn't walk away with the shutout.
SHE SAYS-GRADE: A
Nicholls State ended the day with 49 yards rushing and 174 yards passing, for a total offensive output of 223 yards.
Coming into the game, the Colonels were averaging 123 yards on the ground and 226 yard through the air, for a total of 349 yards of offense.
The Beaver defense held them to just over a third of their averaging rushing yardage and three-quarters of their average passing yardage.
Not unbelievable numbers considering the Colonels are a FCS team, but given the number of guys that played on defense, I'd say it was a solid day.
HE SAYS-GRADE: A-
Trevor Romaine got a work out in with kicking extra points and kick-offs, while Keith Kostol and the Beavers return units had a rather uneventful day. 11-11 on extra points is a good day at the office.
SHE SAYS-GRADE: A
All was smooth, except for the kickoff out of bounds and the muffed punt by Terron Ward (that was recovered by the Beavers).
HE SAYS-GRADE: B
This game allowed the Beavers to gain some momentum and pad their stats. The coaches didn't need to 'game plan' too much and they were able to let the young guys and reserves gain some valuable game experience.
It was a glorified scrimmage, but just what was needed after 11 straight games and coming off a loss to your arch-rival. The Beavers now have time to rest their bodies and get ready for a bowl game to celebrate a great turnaround.
SHE SAYS- COACHING GRADE: A
While the game wasn't much of a contest, it allowed the coaches to see a lot of things from both sides of the ball.
Sure, most things they tried on Saturday worked, but I believe they will be able to break down the game film a bit and tweak the offense and defense even more to improve the chance for future success.
