Getting to Know: Andrzej Hughes-Murray

Enjoy getting to know the new members of the Beaver football team a little better in the days ahead. Today hear from three-star linebacker Andrzej Hughes-Murray from Federal Way, Washington.

Who has been recruiting you from OSU: Coach Woods has been the main one recruiting me since Coach Tuiaki left.

Most memorable moment on the football field: My most memorable moment is playing in our state semi finals in freezing weather.

Who is the one person who helped you most in your football career: The two people who have helped me the most are my Dad and my trainer Tracy Ford at Ford Sports Performance.

Who is your hero or role model in life: My heroes are my parents. They push me and always remind me that no matter what to stay focused on my goals and take care of me.

What schools recruited you the hardest, besides Oregon State: The schools that recruited me the hardest were Air Force, Utah State and Cal.

Why did you choose Oregon State: I chose Oregon State because it was clear to me what Coach Andersen had planned for me and I love the direction they are heading in. They told me exactly how I fit into schemes and how I was to be coached. Lastly I connected with these coaches more than any others out there. It didn't matter to me when they called or when they wanted to come over I was always excited to speak with them.

Favorite Movie: My favorite movie is Straight Outta Compton.

Favorite music artist: I don't necessarily have a favorite music artist but I love Rap and R&B.

Favorite TV Show: My favorite TV show is Empire.

Favorite Food: I LOVE BBQ RIBS!

Favorite athlete: My favorite athlete is Ray Lewis.

Dogs or Cats: I love dogs, but cats scare me.

What PAC 12 team are you most excited to play? I am most excited to play OREGON!

If you had a super power what would it be? If I had a super power it would be to be SUPERMAN

What do you plan on majoring in at OSU? I plan to major in business or physical therapy but I'm still a long ways away from deciding.

On a scale of 1-10 (with one being no hate and 10 being total hatred) how much do you hate the Oregon Ducks (the Beavers biggest rival)—this was a fan question: 10.

Anything else you'd like the fans to know about you? I would like the fans to know that you pronounce Andrzej like ON-JAY and that OSU will not just be getting a football player but a good person as well. I want to work as hard as I possibly can to stay true to both and help the OSU community on and off the field.
